Kids these days do a lot of research on the internet. Going to the library is not as popular today as it was during our time. My son actually says: “Search for it on Google” when he needs something for his schoolwork.
There are numerous websites out there giving our children information. Not all of the information is helpful or accurate or real. Up to a certain age then, parents should supervise internet use by their kids and screen websites where our kids source their information.
For example, I came across this article about Active Tectonics. I tried to read through it but did not understand it. I don’t even know what it has to do with Monness & Neil Crespi. Bottom line, not all write-ups are helpful and not all links may be related. It’s a bit strange but that’s how it is out there on the web.
