Last February 18, I ordered some sushi party trays from the Kitaro White Plains Katipunan branch. Their phone number is 912-6626.
I called them at 10:40 am and tried to place my order. The staff on the other end of the line said that preparation and delivery take about one hour but other people had ordered ahead of me so would it be alright if they get the order to me at 12:30pm?
My party was at lunch time. Could I tell my guests to wait until 12:30pm? I told the Kitaro staff that at the latest, the food had to be here at 12pm. It was only 10:40 am so if they say they are ready in an hour, then they should be able to bring me the food at 12pm.
It was a simple case of saying yes they could or no they couldn’t. I ended up canceling my order as they could not commit to bring the food here at 12pm. A few minutes after I put down the phone, they called me up again to say that they can now accommodate my order.
What time did the food get here? It got here at 11:55am. I don’t know why I had to go through all that trouble when they could deliver in the end anyway. It’s a simple case of just telling the customer whether he or she can be served or not.
