On Writing Contests
Day in, day out, we come across a lot of writing contests. I’ve joined several. Won a few. Lost a lot. After sometime, you get lazy and say, what the heck? Then, when the winners come out, you think to yourself, “I could have won.” As they say though, “You always miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”
Sometimes it just gets tiring to write so many words, send a picture, prepare it in a certain format, etc., etc. Actually, all these contests are not just tests for your writing skills but also a check on your determination and resolve. How badly did you want it? Will you regret not joining this in the future?
Here’s to the next contests. Hopefully, we will all be ready. If we want to be.
