Text Messages Our Friends Send Us
Aside from inspiring e-mail, our friends can also send us inspiring text messages. It is uncanny how sometimes, our friends’ text messages arrive just at the right time, lifting us up when we feel down in the dumps.
One such friend is my friend D. She was my former officemate who now works for a bank. Every once in awhile, she texts me inspiring quotes and I appreciate them a lot as they make my days more pleasant and my troubles lighter.
Here are some examples of her recent text messages:
“A perfect start does not promise a perfect ending, but how u finish is just as important as how u begin. Run life’s race with patience and perseverance. God bless. ” — Good reminder that things will not always be as we plan them. Attitude can spell the difference in how we live our lives.
“Oftn, we get impatient & take things n2 our own hands…but God sez, “Be quiet, trust me. I know ur needs better dan u do. Just wait & give me a chance to work…” — How true. As we go through life, we must remember that God knows our needs even before we pray. Everything that happens is for our own good. God’s timing is always right and his blessings are never delayed.
“It matters not how dark d way, nor how thick d clouds from day to day. God will direct in all we do if we take time to pray it through. Good pm and God bless u.” — When all seems lost, get down on your knees to pray. God always listens. It’s our listening to Him that we have to constantly work on.
So to all our friends who send us text messages that inspire, inform, or entertain, thank you. Life is truly sweeter with friends around us, especially those who care enough to send us text messages. =)
