There was a time when it wasn’t expected that people who have had cosmetic surgery would actually talk about it or flaunt it. These days, though, the number of celebrities and artists who continuously improve and/or enhance their looks by undergoing some kind of procedure and then actually talk about it openly, have made “undergoing cosmetic surgery” a topic that we don’t speak about in hush-hush tones anymore.

The average life expectancy of a Filipino has now increased to 70 years old. Well and good. Here in the Philippines, extended families abound and so we have grandfathers and grandmothers still living with their growing families. In fact, instead of the “younger” members of the family taking care of the older ones, it is our lolos and lolas (grandfathers and grandmothers) who watch over the young kids and take care of the household while the more active members work or run the business.
